The Mitre is one of Knaresborough's finest dining, drinking and accommodation experiences. Built in 1922 on the site of a former inn called The Wheatsheaf, the Mitre was closed in 2003. Since then it has been completely refurbished to the highest possible standard to faithfully restore the magnificence of one of Knaresborough most renowned inns. Re-opened late 2007 to the general public, The Mitre is now offering sumptuous food, fine hand-pulled real ales and 4 luxurious en-suite bedrooms.
